From 26 March 2025 to 26 March 2027, the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death, my project Bert over Beethoven will run. I will publish a free ebook with a short story regularly. Order the e-book Josyne at the bottom of this page and I will inform you the next two years about the project. The end of the project is the publication of the novel Son of Beethoven.
Beethoven’s music has accompanied me all my life. Early on when doing homework and much later when I started playing keyboard sonatas on the grand piano I spontaneously bought. The way his music touches me deeply has gradually made me more and more curious about the man, his life.
When the biography on Beethoven by Jan Caeyers was published, I became so inspired that I wanted to write a novel, in which the stereotypical image of a gruff grumpy genius, who can build a symphony out of four notes, is extended to the warm-blooded, loyal friend he also was. As I am still learning literature writing, it will take some time for the book to appear. But: it is coming!
